We take data protection and IT security seriously. This Privacy Policy informs about the type, scope and purpose of data processing and the rights of users of the EIP platform with regard to their personal data.   1. Provision of the Platform

To ensure a smooth and safe connection and a comfortable use of the platform, we temporarily collect information about your browser and operating system, the type of device used, the date and time of access, the website that referred you to our platform, the requested website or file (including the amount of data transferred), information about errors, IP address and device identifier and your location.

Legal basis for such data processing is Art. 6 (1) lit f) GDPR. 

  1. Contacting EIP

If you contact us by e-mail or phone, the personal data transmitted with your request will be stored. We only use this data for processing your request.

Legal basis for such data processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. f) GDPR or Art. 6 (1) lit. b) GDPR, if the request is directed to the conclusion of a contract. The data will be deleted when the purpose of the processing no longer applies, e.g. your request has been answered conclusively.

  1. Registration

When you register on the EIP platform, we store the information you provide (name of your organisation, address, name of contact person, e-mail address of contact person, areas of interest regarding innovation financing, password).

We use this data for authentication and to contact you in order to provide information on funding opportunities that match your organisation’s areas of interest. If your organisation is a member of a regional ECCIA association, we share this data for verification purposes with this organisation.

Legal basis for such data processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest results from the objective of the EIP platform to increase awareness of EU funding programs and to provide interested organisations with information about funding programs and processes. Unless we are legally required to a longer storage, your data will be deleted when you delete your account.

Upon request, we can put you in touch with experts who will guide the further process. If we forward your data for this purpose, the legal basis for such data processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. b) GDPR.

With your prior consent, we share your data with other organisations that have registered on our platform in order to allow exchange between oganisations with common funding interests. Legal basis for such data processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. a) GDPR. You may revoke your consent at any time by sending an e-mail to contact@eip21.eu. If you revoke your consent, your data will be deleted unless it is stored in your existing user account.

  1. Cookies

Cookies are text files that your browser automatically creates and stores on your device. We only use cookies that are absolutely necessary for the provision of the platform. These cookies are usually deleted when you end your browser session.

Legal basis for such data processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. f) DSGVO.

  1. Your Rights with regard to the processing of personal data

As a person concerned, you have the following rights in connection with the processing of your personal data.

If you wish to assert your rights to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, object to data processing or revoke your consent to data processing, please send an e-mail to contact@eip21.eu

  • the right to information about the personal data processed by us, the purposes of the processing, categories of recipients, the duration of storage or the criteria for determining the duration of storage, the origin of the data, your rights as a data subject, the existence of automated decision making including profiling and about the appropriate guarantees in the event of transfer of data to a third country;
  • the right to rectify inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
  • the right to deletion if the purpose of the processing ceases to exist, if consent is withdrawn or if there is no other legal basis, if the data have been processed unlawfully or if you have objected to the processing; the right to restrict processing;
  • the right to data portability, if the data processing is based on consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a) or Art. 9 (2) lit. a) or on a contract pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. b) GDPR;
  • the right to object to the processing if the processing is based on legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f) GDPR;

If you have consented to the processing of personal data, you may revoke your consent at any time. Revocation of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of your consent until revocation.

You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data is unlawful.
